Our Keynoter, Kathleen Blake Yancey, was recently elected the Vice President of NCTE and is the R. Roy Pearce Professor of English at Clemson University as well as the immediate past chair of the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC). She is a former teacher, University of North Carolina-Charlotte National Writing Project Site Director, and associate professor at UNC-Charlotte. She has published (as an author, coauthor, or editor) many publications including Teaching Literature as Reflective Practice, Portfolios in the Writing Classroom, Assessing Writing Across the Curriculum, Situating Portfolios, and is the cofounder of Assessing Writing.  Kathleen is a respected presenter on assessment, print portfolios, electronic portfolios, teaching with technology, use of reflection to enhance learning, multimedia and digital compositions, teacher leadership, and classroom assessment and research.
